Development of Networks

Water networks length is about 9100 km with different diameters to transmit and distribute water from water treatment plants, posters, wells and small water operations to Beheira cities and villages.

Provide water to the deprived villages (un-served):

By the issuing of the Presidential decree No. 135 / 2004, for establishing the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, BWADC has provided more than 4000 un-served villages all over governorate's districts with total length about 4000 km of pipe lines with different diameters. Activities included technical studies, field research and obtaining necessary permits from concerned bodies (as irrigation, ways, sanitation, railway ...etc).

Rehabilitate, complete and connect networks:

·         Rehabilitation of 1221 areas all over the governorate's districts with pipe lines of various diameters and total length1146 km with a total cost 95 million Egyptian pounds, saving around 45% of the estimated cost.

·         Complete and provide  1495 areas all over the governorate's districts with pipe lines of various diameters and total length  727 km of with a cost of  44 million pounds, saving around 55% of the estimated cost.

·         Connect, support and provide 290areas all over the governorate's markaz (district) with pipes of various diameters and total length 228 km of with a total cost 25 million pounds, saving 40% of the estimated cost.

Lengths of the networks:

Chart shows lengths of networks all over the districts of the governorate during the period from 99 till 2008.
