About Beheira Governorate:- 

- Beheira is considered to be the second biggest governorate in Egypt and enjoys an important strategic location. It is boarded by Rosetta " Nile branch" from the East, Alexandria and Matroh from the West, Mediterranean sea from the North and Monofia and Giza from the South. The area of Beheira is 10 Thousand square kilometers divided into 15 administrative district, 105 municipality unit, 493 Omodia "Omodia is bigger than municipality unit and smaller than the village" and 6056 village.         Behiera Map   

- Beheira has 4.8 million capita and the main working activities in the governorate are as follows:- 

ِAgricultural Activity: is considered to be the main activity in the governorate. In addition, Beheira has the best agricultural soil in Egypt.

Textile Industry: Beheira includes two of the main factories in the field of textile industry in Egypt at Kafr Eldawar city.

Fishing Industry: Beheira looks on the Mediterranean sea through Rosetta and Idku cities so these cities are an important source for fishing industry.

Food industries: Beheira includes the activities of collecting and backing vegetables and fruits.

 

Touristic Activities: Beheira governorate includes touristic places in Rosetta & Wady El Natroun.

Petroleum Activity: Beheira has the most important gas field in the middle east on the coast of Rosetta city.
